The Symons Valley Leisure and Amenities Society is a non-profit society founded by the community associations of Kincora, Nolan Hill, Sage Hill and Sherwood. The City of Calgary has set aside some land directly south of Sage Hill Crossing for future recreation amenities. Our mission is to create community-accessible, all-season outdoor recreation and leisure amenities on that land for our four Symons Valley area communities. Our vision is to become the destination of choice for the Symons Valley communities & beyond.
Our project cannot happen without you. We are looking to find experienced, passionate people to become members on the following Committees:
Project Planning: Provide oversight and direction of the construction activities for our project.
Fundraising: Provide oversight and direction of the money-raising activities for our project.
Communications & Marketing: Provide oversight and direction for public awareness and branding.
As a committee member for the Society, you will be asked to be available to participate in a monthly board meeting for two hours, with additional potential commitments as part of the executive or as a member of a committee. As a valued member of our board, you will be part of building something very special that will be used for our communities for years to come.
